The system is designed for mounting MikroElektronika d.o.o. mikroBUS™ boards (1) for the implementation of special functions.

Extremely compact

The module is engineered in a compact UL94 V-0 self-extinguishing and recyclable PC/ABS container; it is directly pluggable on DIN rails according to EN50022/IEC60715 standards and accepts supply voltages in the range 10-30Vdc.
The module allows the management of the expansion I/O modulesSlimLine through the I2C™ expansion bus (Fast mode), and incorporates a high efficiency power supply, sized for the connection of up to 8 PLC expansion modules.
To connect the expansion modules to the CPU, it is necessary to use the appropriate corded bus expansion cables (Cod. CBL074*000/CBL045*000) to be ordered separately.
I/O and power supply connections are made through removable screw connectors for easier maintenance.

Programmability according to IEC61131-3

The module can be programmed in the 5 languages provided by the standard IEC61131-3 through development tools LogicLabCODESYS completely free programming tools and comes with the environment pre-installed "Run Time” LogicLabif you want to use it in Codesys environment, you will have to follow this KB.
In both cases the Run Time license is NOT included in the cost of the product. In case of use of the environment LogicLab can be purchased directly from this linkif using the Codesys environment, the license must be purchased in the marketplace. Codesys.

The module is equipped with integrated web server which makes available web pages of configuration and general information on the status of the system, as well as user-configurable web pages.
The technology "responsive” makes the pages perfectly navigable even from mobile devices.
When using the Codesys environment, the WebVisu environment is supported for this purpose.

The SlimLine Raspberry PI CPU is equipped with:

  • 1 Ethernet port 10/100BaseT(x)
  • 1 Full-size HDMI port
  • 4 USB 2.0 ports (Host)
  • 1 micro-SD card slot
  • RTC High precision DS3231
  • 1 stereo output and composite video input port
  • Fieldbus: None, RS485 or CAN bus (depending on version)
  • 1-Wire® port
  • 1 I2C™ expansion bus

The module is available in three versions:

  • Lite: No fieldbus,
  • RS485 (1): 1 RS485 isolated.
  • CAN (1): 1 CAN isolated.

Thanks to the support of Modbus RTU and ASCII protocol, operator terminals and/or SCADA software can be connected.
The RS485 version, has drivers Fail-safe and high impedance, this allows you to connect up to 128 devices on the same network.

The PLC SlimLine family has been conceived with the aim of safeguarding the investment in programming made by the Customer both in terms of portability to/from other platforms and in terms of protection against copying and fraudulent use of the applications developed (see this link).

Notes:

(1) On RS485 and CAN versions, the mikroBUS™ slot is used by the fieldbus management module.
Some mikroBUS cards may not be supported and/or firmware changes may be required.
