Netlog III is a family of programmable controllers (PLCs), engineered in a DIN 43880 enclosure, which can be programmed in accordance with the international standard IEC61131-3.
The devices are equipped with web server integrated able to make available web pages of configuration and general information on the status of the system, as well as web pages fully configurable by the user.
The basic module has 12 optoisolated logic inputs (PNP/NPN), 8 relay or static digital outputs, 4 analog inputs 16bit 0-10V/0-20mA (or 2 RTD), 2 analog outputs 0-10V. The status of the logic I/O is displayed through LEDs.
The device accepts extended range power supply from 10 to 30Vdc. The ability to operate with 12V power supply voltage simplifies the solution of various home automation applications, automotive and, in general, where a battery power supply is required.
Thanks to the use of non-volatile memory in FRAM technology (ferroelectric RAM), it has been possible to eliminate the battery, thus minimizing maintenance and environmental impact at the end of the product's life and eliminating the constraints imposed by directives for the air transport of products containing batteries.
FRAM technology also guarantees a practically unlimited number of writing cycles, thus improving the reliability of the system, and a very low power consumption even during the writing phases.
The module is available in different versions:
- Relay Base: 2 RS232C, 12 Digital In, 4 Analog In, 8 Out Relay, 1 Ethernet.
- Full RS485 Relay: 2 RS232C, 12 Digital In, 4 Analog In, 8 Out Relay, 1 Ethernet, 1 RS485 isolated.
- Full RS485 Relay + Display: 2 RS232C, 12 Digital In, 4 Analog In, 8 Out Relay, 1 Ethernet, 1 RS485 isolated, Built-in Keypad/Display.
Base and Full versions are equipped with 2 RS232 serial ports and 1 Ethernet port.
The Full RS485 versions are equipped with the following drivers Fail-safe and high impedance, this allows you to connect up to 128 devices on the same network.
On the Full versions the "Display" option with 6-key keypad and 2-line alphanumeric LCD display with 16 characters is also available.
The device is expandable through the 20I/O extension modules of the Netsyst family (up to 7 addressable modules), via the I2C™ bus.
To connect the extension modules, use the appropriate corded bus extension cables (Code CBL045**00) to be ordered separately.
I/O connections are made via removable screw connectors for easier maintenance.
Netlog III was conceived with a view to safeguarding the investment in programming made by the customer both in terms of portability from/to other platforms and in terms of protection against copying and fraudulent use of the applications developed (see this link).
A wide range of libraries and function blocks (FB) is available to perform a variety of functions.
There are also some available optionally, for the use of which it is necessary to obtain the unlock code at MID (Manufacturer ID) or DID (Device ID) level. Go to the list.
The PLC is programmable in the 5 languages provided by the IEC61131-3 standard, through the development tool LogicLaba completely free programming tool.
The device is dimensionally and connectionally compatible with the previous model Netlog II.
Netlog is also available in an OEM version, for those users who want to build extremely cost-sensitive semi-custom PLCs.
Thanks to the support of the Modbus RTU/ASCII protocol, operator terminals and SCADA software can be connected.
