The TRP-C37M is a Modbus TCP to RTU/ASCII gatewaydesigned for industrial environments, equipped with an extended range power supply, protection against surge on serial ports, able to ensure high quality communication on long distance connections.
The watchdog circuit allows the device to automatically recover states of malfunction. The function Heart Beat ensures reliable communication. Externally accessible DIP switches allow factory default conditions to be restored in the event of loss of the access password or IP address.
These converters operate in "Direct IP Mode", "Virtual COM Mode", and "Paired Mode". The Ethernet port supports Auto-MDIX mode and 10/100MB auto selection.
Up to 16 simultaneous sockets can be opened for each device.
These devices can easily be used with applications such as Modscan32 and Modbus Poll in TCP, Virtual-COM and Pair mode and support the standard Modbus protocol and can convert protocols from "Modbus TCP Master" to "Modbus RTU/ASCII Slave" and from "Modbus RTU/ASCII Master" to "Modbus TCP Slave".
The power supply can be supplied either through removable terminals or through standard 12Vdc adapter (2.1mm jack).
The "TRPCOM" utility can be used to test loopback devices.
Configuration can be performed using the TRP-C3X Device Server Manager (DSM) program, or via a standard web brwser, thanks to the integrated web server.
The TRP-C3X DSM allows various functions:
- Searching for TRP-C3Xs connected to the network
- Viewing and Changing the TRP-C3X Configuration
- Device firmware upgrade
- Saving and loading configuration files
An adapter is optionally available to allow DIN rail mounting (See figure).
