The ATC-3000 device server is a high-performance gateway between Ethernet (TCP/IP) and serial communication ports. It can be used in all plants or devices, and carries data from any serial port to the Ethernet network.
By encapsulating serial data and transporting it over Ethernet, the ATC-3000 enables transparent two-way data transmission between a serial port and the Ethernet network.
In industrial and manufacturing automation, the ATC-3000 can be integrated with most field devices, including PLCs, HMIs, bar code readers, data terminals, electronic kanban, UPS, electronic meters and automation controllers.
Existing Windows-based applications can access Ethernet-serial devices using Virtual COM software that creates virtual serial ports on the host computer.
Flexible configuration options allow the device to be configured remotely via Ethernet from Telnet, web browser, or other utility windows. The ATC-3000 is not only a convenient, transparent, network-enabled serial device, but is also easy to install, thanks to its web server page.
The device is equipped with Ethernet I/F on RJ45 connector, DB9M (DTE) connectors for RS232 I/F connection and extractable terminals for RS422/485 connection. The converter is also equipped with surge protection on RS422/485 interface.
The power supply can be supplied either through removable terminals or through standard 9Vdc adapter (included) (2.1mm jack).
The device is equipped with a web server, this allows you to configure it from a normal browser (Example Internet Explorer).
The device can be set for master or slave operation, allowing two devices to be independently connected to each other to remote a serial line on an Ethernet network (Paired mode).
The product is supplied complete with the following accessories:

- CD Rom documentation and drivers
An adapter is optionally available to allow DIN rail mounting (See figure).
