The ATC-850 module represents a low cost way to connect a device equipped with USB interface to an industrial RS422/485 bus or to one equipped with RS232 serial port. When the device is connected to the USB port of a PC, it is automatically recognized and a native COM port compatible with any application requiring serial communication is installed.

Power is supplied directly from USB port, so no external power supply is needed. The product comes complete with the following accessories:

  • USB cable A to B
  • CD Rom documentation and drivers

An adapter is optionally available to allow DIN rail mounting (See figure).

    With Win11 in particular, with the obsolescence of old drivers that are no longer being updated this product is recognized immediately by the OS. Moreover, it is isolated and is powered perfectly by USB.

    I have been using the ATC-850 USB/RS485 converter for some years now and it has become an integral part of our geotechnical measurement systems.

    Only one adjective: "fantastic"! Never a problem of interference between drivers of other devices, 99% of the times detected automatically by the PC and the very few times just enter the drivers manually and take them immediately. In essence, never a problem!!!!!!!!!!! It always works! Only note on the RS422: I was always used to have in line the A-B-Z-Y terminals instead here are in the order A-B-Y-Z but detected the first time is no longer wrong!
