ESCT-Txx Openable Current Transformer

ESCT-Txx Openable Amperometric Transformers are designed for quick and easy installation. The split-core design allows non-contact current measurements through magnetic field induction without requiring the primary cable to be disconnected and disconnected for CT installation.
This method enables safer, easier and more portable current measurement.
An internal precision load resistor across the CT secondary winding ensures a low-voltage output and allows safe opening of the secondary circuit.

ESCT-Txx Openable Current Transformers allow the line current to be reduced to a secondary value of 1A or 5A compatible with the amperometric inputs of digital multimeters, protective relays and energy meters.

The product is available in versions from 100A to 600A.

The number of primary cable passes does not change the accuracy characteristics, but it reduces the value of primary current for the same secondary current.
