The 16+8 I/O expansion module of the PLC SlimLine family allows the acquisition of up to 24 digital I/Os through the I2C™ (Fast mode) system bus by the CPUs of the family.
The Power Save function, adopted on the relay version, allows to obtain a considerable energy saving and, consequently, a strong reduction of the dissipated power.
The I/O status is displayed through LEDs.
The module can acquire a bidirectional encoder or scale signal with max. 50kHz frequency, frontal quadrature and reference mark management.
The module is available in 2 versions:
- Relay Version: 16 In Digital, 8 Out Relay, I2C™ Bus,
- Zero-cross SSR version: 16 In digital, 8 Out SSR ZC, Bus I2C™.
The use of a programmable FPGA on board allows the resolution of problems "Time critical" not solvable with classic PLC systems.
The module is engineered in a compact UL94 V-0 self-extinguishing and recyclable PC/ABS enclosure; it is directly pluggable on DIN rails according to EN50022/IEC60715 standards.
The device is also available as an OEM version, for those users who want to build extremely cost sensitive semi-custom equipment.
I/O connections are made via removable screw connectors for easier maintenance.
To connect the expansion modules to the CPU Unit, use the appropriate corded bus expansion cables (No. CBL074*000/CBL045*000) to be ordered separately.
Up to 16 Expansion Units can be connected to the CPU Unit (check depending on the CPU Unit used).
