How are the products coded?

products-encoding-en

he code of each Elsist product consists of 10 characters. They (grouped in 6 different fields) identify the type of the product itself, the progressive production number, the version and other specific information related to each of them.

Product type:

  • ADV -"Advertising": advertising documentation
  • MNL - "Manuals": manuals
  • MPS - "Microprocessor systems": products and microprocessor systems
  • PCB - "Printed circuit boards": electronic boards
  • PCK - "Package": hardware/software, complementary to the line
  • PFB -"Functional blocks": functional blocks
  • PTP - "Tutorial programs": demonstration programs
  • SFW - "Software products": basic programs and firmware
  • SWM - "Application software": software realizations

Progressive:

The "sequential" number identifies the corresponding project number. It increases progressively" with the creation of a new product, related to the same family.

Version:

The "version" is indicated by a letter of the alphabet, which varies with each subsequent update to which the product itself is subject. The documentation of the products (except in cases where this is expressly requested), does not provide for the indication of a value for this field. Instead, the character "*" can be found. This replacement is made only in cases where the indication of the version is not relevant for the documentation itself.
Please note that the delivered version of a requested product could be the one corresponding to a higher level, following a successful update of the product itself. Such a change in version does not necessarily imply compatibility.

4th, 5th, 6th field

The last three fields have different meanings, depending on the product they identify. The specific product documentation contains further information in detail.

4th camp

In documents, programs and applications, the fourth field indicates the language in which the text is written, as shown in the table:

  • 0 - English
  • 1 - English
  • 2 - French
  • 3 - Spanish
  • 4 - German

How is the store's stock managed?

The store allows products to be placed in the shopping cart even when availability is 0 or the quantity ordered exceeds the quantity available.

In these cases we will send a second order confirmation with the expected date of shipment of the missing items.

For some products in the "End-of-Series Offer", the inclusion of quantities exceeding the stock may be blocked.

The item "Stock"represents the current stock of the warehouse.

Availability' represents the quantity in stock. and not committed to customer orders.
It may therefore happen that, although the availability is 0, the product is still available quickly if it is not. Stock is >0 and the commitments are scheduled for future dates.
