Le sonde di temperatura TR160, TR161 e TR162 sono destinate a misure di temperatura di solidi, terreni sciolti, materiali gassosi e liquidi. Il grado di protezione è IP 67 secondo lo standard EN 60529.
Le sonde hanno il contenitore in poliammide con diametro di 6mm (TR160), 8mm (TR161) o 10 mm (TR162) in cui è incapsulato ermeticamente l’elemento sensibile (sensore).
Esse sono dotate di un cavo con isolamento in PVC fino a 105 °C (salvo diversamente indicato). Il cavo ha un diametro di 3,5 mm e lunghezze standard 1, 2, 5 e 10m.

All types of thin layer sensing resistor elements are made by SENSIT (Ni 1000, Ni 891, Ni 2226, Pt 100, Pt 500, Pt 1000, NTC 20 kW), while the others (NTC and PTC thermistors, KTY, DS18B20 and others) may be from other companies.
The wiring of temperature probes is standard 2-wire unless otherwise specified.
The housing material has a particularly high resistance to motor oils.
