The Cinterion BGS2 Terminal is an ultra-compact GSM modem incorporating the latest generation of powerful 2G wireless modules equipped with GSM baseband/GPRS Quad-Band, TCP/IP connectivity based on GPRS class 10 data transmission, and extremely low power consumption.
Ideal for novice M2M implementers and small scale implementations, the BGS2 Terminal provides reliable and affordable M2M communication for a variety of industrial applications such as measurement, security, transportation, remote monitoring/control and much more.
The plug-and-play design includes a robust plastic housing with unprecedented mounting options, a range of common industrial interfaces, such as RS-232 and RS-485, as well as an integrated SIM housing for easy implementation. Quad-Band support provides global coverage for an all-in-one data communications solution, as well as SMS and fax capability.
Like all Cinterion products, the BGS2 terminal is also FTA approved and certified by the world's largest GSM network operators.
With the size of a credit card, the terminal is suitable for almost all M2M applications. To ensure simple, reliable and efficient integration, the ultra-compact design incorporates a highly flexible mounting concept:
- DIN rail mounting
- C-rail mounting
- Fixing with screws
- Cable fixing with cable ties
In combination with the modem a series of accessories are available: multi-band antennas, wall or DIN rail power supplies, cables for power connection, connection cables to PC and to our devices, etc..
For the connection to our controllers, and limited to the RS232 version, we recommend the use of adapters and cables Ns Cod. CBL055*000 and CBL057**00.
