LoRaWAN Monitoring

LoRaWAN is a technology with which one can transmit over great distances (up to 15km in the open field) with very little power, comparable to that of a remote door opener.
Other advantages include simplicity, wide coverage range, network flexibility, and a rich ecosystem due to the standardization of radio communication.

In Europe it uses the free 868 MHz band.

Why use LoRaWAN systems?

  • Interoperability of devices even from different vendors
  • High communication range (up to 15km in open field)
  • Low power consumption (battery life up to 10years)
  • High capacity (millions of messages per Gateway)
  • Low cost
  • Data security (Two levels of data encryption)
