Series of combined temperature, relative humidity, CO2, atmospheric pressure and VOC indoor sensors with RS485 output (ModBus) or CAN Bus (CANOpen). These sensors are designed to measure carbon dioxide concentration, air temperature, relative air humidity, atmospheric pressure and VOC (volatile organic compounds) concentration in water protected environments.
The sensor consists of a plastic ribbed head in which the card with the individual sensors is mounted and a converter to manage communication via the fieldbus. Temperature, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure and VOC are measured by a common internal sensor whose signal is processed by a microprocessor and converted into a digital output signal. An NDIR module measures the CO2 value and is also converted into a fieldbus output signal.
An auto-calibration function of the CO2 concentration sensor is available. It allows the sensor to be set to the minimum CO2 value corresponding to the external concentration level.
The sensor meets the IP30 input protection according to EN 60529 and subsequent amendments.
The elegant design and the use of high quality materials allow its use in environments with high aesthetic requirements.
Environment of use
These devices are designed to operate in a chemically non-aggressive environment; use must be chosen in relation to the temperature and chemical resistance of the sensor head and individual sensors. The operating conditions to ensure correct operation are:
- Ambient temperature: -40 to 80 °C
- Relative humidity: 0 to 95% (non-condensing)
- Atmospheric Pressure: from 87 to 106 kPa
Calibration
All products are subject to final metrological inspection, performed with periodically calibrated instruments. The continuity of compliance with standards, measuring instruments and work is guaranteed in accordance with Section 5 of Law No. 505/1990 on metrology. The manufacturer also offers the possibility to supply the calibrated sensors in its own laboratory (according to the requirements of the EN ISO/IEC17025 standard) or in an accredited laboratory.

The Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations (REHVA) recommends the use of CO2 measurement inside the buildings for assess the risks of SARS-CoV-2 transmission via aerosol. CO2 is a gas produced when we breathe, its concentration can be a good indicator of insufficient ventilation.
Monitoring the CO2 level allows you to know at a glance whether the ventilation of the rooms is sufficient and whether there is a high risk of COVID infection by aerosols.
