The NMC-210 Ethernet-to-Fiber Optic Converter enables theextension of copper-Ethernet connections over fiber optics. Available in single-mode or multi-mode fiber cable version depending on the required transmission distances, it allows to overcome the length limits of the traditional copper Ethernet connection of 100mt and supports 10/100Mb communication speeds.
The Ethernet-fiber media converter can also be used in case of high electromagnetic interference (EMI), which is very common in industrial plants. This type of interference can corrupt data on traditional copper Ethernet connections. Data transmitted over optical fiber are inherently immune to noise and atmospheric discharges, thus allowing optimal data transmission throughout the system combined with high device robustness.
The NMC-210 Ethernet-to-fiber converter has one 10/100 Base-TX auto MDI/MDIX Ethernet port on RJ45 connector and one 100BaseFX port for fiber with ST or SC connector (depending on version).
